2019 Swimming Intensive Day #7

Today I swam another 700 yds in my workout today! I worked more intensively on my newly adapted back stroke for 400 yds! I am definitely starting to master the ability of getting more rotation in my shoulders during my back stroke. This will not only help me during swimming, but also with everyday activities such as walking around and feeding myself! I highly recommend that you try to work on your back stroke when you swim, it might be challenging at first, but when you start to master the stroke, your body will and muscles will feel amazing! It’s taken me years of practice and hard work to be capable of doing my current back stroke, so don’t get discouraged or frustrated if you have trouble with it at the beginning…. Practice makes perfect! Working on your back stroke is also an intense workout for your glute and thigh muscles, which are the main muscles that help you walk! Looking forward to the final day of my intensive program tomorrow! I need to swim 600 yds to reach my 3 mile goal! Wish me luck!
