When most people think about fitness, physical exercise is the first idea that comes to mind. While physical exercise is obviously an important part of staying healthy, mental health plays just as big of a role in a person’s overall health. Throughout my life, I have dealt with some issues with anxiety and panic attacks. Anxiety will have a greater impact on people who have disabilities like Cerebral Palsy, because it will cause their muscle tone to increase. A few months ago, I discovered a new way of effectively managing my anxiety without having to rely on medication.
For the past few months, I have practiced meditation and breathing exercises every night before bed. Whenever you find yourself facing a situation that causes you to have anxiety, these breathing exercises can help you quickly calm down and overcome your anxiety! These exercises are very simple and only take a few minutes to complete. Below are a few YouTube videos that have helped me understand meditation and deep breathing!
Hope these exercises help you relax and manage your anxiety! Thanks for reading!
